Hash walk....

Hash (food), a coarse mixture of ingredients..

Here in Grenada ('Spice Island') since 1937 the British army guys were send into the woods/rainforest by their superior to kill some time, and because it was so beautiful it was soon accepted as very nice pastime

Later on it was combined with other groups (the Mix of people: Hash) and now it is organized WEEKLY in Grenada with participation of cruisers, other tourist and lost of locals, plenty of dogs and really people of all ages, kids of 4, plenty of local youth etcetc..

Start was at 4, and special Hash bus passed us on the road (when we were just 1 minute waiting for normal bus, and we would have to switch even buses) and stopped immediately to takes us 5 adults, 1 kid and 2 small dogs for free to the start site, perfect..

Start site was at a beach, about 150 people could do the walk or do even a longer run..

After the walk(clime up and back down) cheap drinks (beer) and good food (perfect chicken, Hash etcetc) and DJ with the good modern music...

nb if you click on picture u get it bigger... and if u then right click, view image it gets bigger and bigger, click on magnifying glass and then that is finally as big as it gets... (I'll add more pictures the others have taken when I get them)
 Loud, Jack
Mike..  organizer
People with new shoes have to come forward, take one off, it is filled with beer and then consumed... Before the walk of course.

The goal of this Hash walk was to get on top of this remains of a volcano (below)..  the old hard core, the softer outside has eroded away long time ago..
From the picture the top does not looks as far and high and steep as it was for me btw...

Anchored off St George Grenada

Left St Maarten Monday 12.30, anchor down at St George 06.30 Thursday...  380nm in 66 hours, 6knots average was nice with Condor..
Nice green hills here, relaxed place, 30 boats around me, 5 Dutch, good spot, and many others around here.

Old hard coral floor with little sand on top... anchor lays on its side..
and anchor chain wrapped around rocks holds the Condor..
