Brown means very dry air, all the way to Africa.. Near Africa 'hurricanes' will start forming but no sighn of any jet so I simply stay in St Maarten, very nice and relaxed. Hardly any other cruisers.
If needed I'm ready to sail 'tomorrow' 400miles south to Grenada to avoid hurricane like wheater
Cheers

Oef..
Oef, anchor chain broke, good I was on board..
Had engine running just in time, so did not collide with nice big sailboat behind me..
Now on mooring, and dive to look for anchor
Found anchor, shackles after 20m suddenly totally worn out for 5m, rest of chain like new.. very strange. And I have taken out anchor by hand for the last 8 years (no electrical windlass) so I see the whole chain every time I do something with anchor, never seen this coming. Or is it remains of barnacles as grinding material??
