D53 Visit over

Home alone again.. King of my Castle, better of alone... I suppose

Rigging up Laser, making it a day of laser sailing and probably cramp in legs sailing downwind.. stretchin legs downwind on deck is the only way as I remember..

Silent Wind...

The Rutland wind generator is replaced by the carbon winged Silent Wind one.. Still a littlebit worried about the silent part, but we will see.. Batteries are well powered now ofcourse.

Aft cabin is getting better and better, windows in transom can be opened now.. ventilation AND sound of outside.. I like it a lot.

Condor is hauled out next Wednesday, I intend to fly next thursday to Toronto and when I get back it's time to do the underwater part.
Put some filler here and there,
Maybe remove the 3 zinc anodes on hull, they have not been used since dec 2008...
Same for the 2 anodes on rudder
Plenty of easy improvement to be made on Vin keel and rudder with filler..
Take propshaft out and replace cuttless bearing
Replace anodes on propshaft..
Put antifouling on, not red but black this time..

So back in water first week of october again..

Sibren had some Sothern Comfort during the day, fell in water on way to happy hour and does not remember everything anymore..
Apparently he invited really everyone to Zanzibar satureday for his Toedeloe party ...

Curacao

On Bonaire we checked out on thursday, took diesel and water and parked behind klein Bonaire again..
The Panter (coastguard NL/Curacao) wanted to know more about us, and finally wanted to come on board when we moved back to moring at Kralendijk. We wanted to lesve next morning at 0600 to be on Spaanse water in time for Happy hour..

Condor was inspected for drugs for 3/4 of an hour, samples taken every where and then they had to return to the Panter ' to make pictures of our pasports'.... or check te samples for drugs maybe??

No problems and they went on their way again..

A thunderstorm pased from the west, and at midnight everything was quiet...

Little wind from East now, but suddenlu waves started to come in from west, and that was not funny, Sibren ofcourse did not even wake up, but after a 1/2 hour of beiing smashed around I had enough of it, woke up Sibren, picked up anchore and of to Curacao.. with dinghy on tow, so littlebit slow..

Nice slow passage.. arrived at 1000 friday, Spaanse Water bussey place, plenty stories at Normans Happy hour in his nice new place..

klein Bonaire

Wind was from wrong direction half of the night so stayed on deck, and at 0700 that proved to be a good thing.. a moring line broke, one left, and is't only 35,5 m to shore..

Woke up Sibren and we moved to Little Bonaire were we stayed all day and did a lot of snorkeling..

Very, very very nice..

Cheers

NB Also made nice underwater video's ... cool, very cool

Fish here not shy, stick out finger and they'll come to investigate..
others I scare a little out of their hiding so Sibren can take good picture..
